We produce 106 million tonnes of commercial, industrial (C+I) and household waste in England
and Wales each year.

Around 54% of C + I waste and 83% of municipal waste is landfilled. Regulatory and environmental pressures require that these levels are greatly reduced.

The Waste Exchange aims to redirect waste that is destined for landfill to re-use, by transforming Industrial, commercial and household waste into fuels for manufacturing and renewable energy.

This type of fuel is referred to as Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) or Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF). See
